Project HiLives | Erasmus+

22nd to 26th November

FORMEM participated, from the 22nd to the 26th of November, in a working week of the European project HiLives. The meeting of the consortium should have taken place in person in Belgium, but this was not possible due to the contingencies of the pandemic situation. Representatives of partners from the University of Aveiro, the University of Gent, the University of Iceland, the University of Salamanca, FORMEM, ASSOL, Pais-Em-Rede and AvisPT21 (Portugal) and the guests of Our New Future and CVO Inclusief (Belgium) were present.

The work week was highlighted by the presentation of several testimonies of people with disabilities included in higher education programs, as well as by sharing experiences and debate on the transition to a post-school context, focused on expectations and models of inclusion in higher education .

The main results of the HiLives project will be a Guide to transnational good practices for Higher Education Institutions, Secondary Schools and Employers, and the development of a Digital Inclusion Platform, which will allow young people with disabilities to access existing educational and professional offers according to their profile, as well as being part of a European network of students with disabilities. This initiative is co-financed by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.
